Mending & Delivery
Every inch of finished fabric, scarf or throw is carefully checked on our mending table. We pull the whole roll of fabric across a sheet of perspex with an inspection light behind.
We check for faults by the look and feel of the fabric, and can usually mend them by stitching in a length of yarn by hand. There are various things we look out for: knots, broken warp threads, missing weft threads, bubbling and broken leno threads, which secure the edge of the fabric.

Once the fabric is checked and mended, we roll it up, stitch in the piece number and wrap it for delivery to the finishers. We take the wrapped pieces up to a box at the top of our drive, where they are collected by Skye Express, the local carriers.
